From our cutting edge server technology to our secure hosting environment, the Redbyte Online data centre houses the power behind our famous 100% uptime guarantee. The data centre is located in a secure facility that is built to an N+1 specification. An automatic backup service takes over in the event of any failure, including electricity and air conditioning.

Power

Dual power feeds enter the building at different points. Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) ensure clean and spike free power to the data centre, and the UPS runs the full data centre load for five minutes in the event of a power outage. However, generators also kick in within 20 seconds of an outage to take on the load indefinitely. 

Security

Manpower is present at our data centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In the event of a problem, our engineers can respond quickly and effectively to resolve any issues as they arise.

Smart Card authentication is enabled and required to access our data centre. Uninvited and unauthorized visitors are prohibited from accessing data. We also use CCTV throughout the facility as an extra security measure. 

Cooling & Fire Suppression

For optimum equipment performance, the temperature inside the data centre is held steady at 20oC. Our fire detection system monitors the interior for any indication of a fire-related temperature change and allows operators and emergency personnel to respond quickly when a threat is detected.
